Is there anyway of canceling my hiptop contract without having to payout the contract?

Is there anyway of getting off my hiptop plan then paying like $300-400 dollars to payout the contract..? or in the end is it just worth waiting out the contract..?
 
the only way out of the contract would be to upgrade to another phone plan, but u would still have to pay the phone repayment for the hiptop on top of your new plan.
