I have an old pentium dual core e5200 (2.5 ghz) it works alright for pre-2008 games for the most part.
But I really want civilization 5 and stuff, I've done some research and some people say you can get more bang for your buck if you get a core 2 duo because most games dont even fully utilize quad cores yet. But I'm trying to think ahead and I think a Core 2 Quad is the way to go. My only question now is, can it work with only 2 gigs of RAM and two fans? I only have like $180 to spend here, and I know I'll prob have to spend a little extra on a good heatsink so if there are any reccomendations or tips please let me know
