My boss never informed me i would be receiving a 1080 form for my catering services this year. Ive done this the past six years always paid in cash and never received one before. I found a new job and left with two weeks notice. Now all of a sudden i get this form while others i know didn't receive it. I am having to pay in 500 for taxes when i was never informed about this. I also heard you cant receive a 1080 and a w2 from the same place. don't know if that is true or not. Kinda worried if i try to do anything could they take out back taxes from them never taxing me prior or not? Was hoping someone could help advise me on what to do. I was never informed of this and never filled out an i9 i believe it is.
