is there any way to play old Sega games on the PSP without downgrading the firmware?

I love SONIC! I have a lot of old games that I would love to play but can't because my sega is dead. I want to know if there's any way I can play them on my PSP???
 
the only way is to downgrade your firmware other than that you can buy the game for your psp
