Is there any way to help somone in prison or jail that you do not know? She is a convicted murderer
I saw Marjorie Orbin on 48 Hours Mystery several months ago. I believe she is innocent but she is convicted of murder & was sentenced to life without the chance of parole. Is there any way someone, an average person, without any legal experience, in another state, can help her? I feel compelled to do something but I am not really sure what I should do. I thought of starting a petition but the few people I asked said that you have to be in the convicted person's state, and i am several states away so that won't work. Is there anything I can do to help her? Someone suggested contacting her lawyer but from what I have seen she now has a public defender. So should I contact her original lawyer as well as her public denfender? Any other suggestions would be much appreciated.
Bruce, I know about Project Innocence but it appears that it has to be the convict themselve or a family member. It can't be a stranger. You have to know like all the info about the case etc which I don't have access to.
