i recently had an awkward experience. i found a broken 12.0 megapixel kodak camera at a store called xs cargo for 10 dollars. it had a battery in it that alone was worth 10 dollars so i thought it was worth it to buy it and see if it can be fixed. i didn't keep the receit because it didn't have any warranty and could not be returned and was really cheap i didn't care about getting the money back.
i went to the only camera repair shop in my town and i felt like the person at the desk asked me for a bill of sale. i told him about how i got it and he rolled his eyes look away and said "a 12 megapixel camera for 10 dollars" as if he didn't believe me. he said he could send it away to get it looked at (he has repair workers in the store) i asked him if they could just look at it they could have all the time they want he said no. just to send it away would cost 20 dollars. i asked him if it cost 50 dollars to repair would it be worth it ? he said the warranty would take care of that. i said i told him before it doesn't have a warranty and he responded that he needs a bill of sale.
i just left and felt like i was mistreated. i want to get the camera looked at without sending it away.
