Is there any way that my husband and me can both drive a hire car in Thailand.......?

.....when I have a full driving licence, my husband has a uk provisional which he has had for one year-he can drive but finds it hard to pass the theory because English is second language.

We are going to be driving around Thailand in different parts and want to share driving- due to being tired. We are willing to get separate insurance- like car hire insurance.

Any advice would be appreciated.
