I'm 18 years old and just graduated from high school. I had gained employment the summer before my senior year with a pharmaceutical company in their Information Technology section. This seemed like a good opportunity for me as I was going to high school for computers. I was also very nervous about what college I wanted to go to and the financial situation at home as my father just lost his job and my parents were splitting. I decided to wait for college and continue working for a bit. Eventually I was led into buying a new car (2009 Cobalt). My mother had signed for the car and I am now giving her money monthly for the car. I didn't think at all when I had gotten the car that I would want to attend college. Now I want to try and attend college full time and live on campus but I can't exactly do that since I need to maintain a job to pay for the car each month.
Basically, I want to know if there is any way for me to attend college full time by taking out loans for it. There has to be a way to maintain the car payment as well. Student loans don't need to be payed back until after schooling is finished and that is kind of what I would need with the car. Is there any type of loan I can take out to pay for the car payments for the next 4 years while I attend college that don't need to be payed off until after schooling that can be coupled with my student loans for college itself?
I know this is an extremely stupid situation that I have gotten myself into but I know there has to be a valid way to get through this. Any and all help is greatly appreciated.
I'm not worried about paying everything off at all. I know for a fact I can come out of college and have a decent enough job to start making payments on the loans. The problem I have now is that if I attend college full time, I cannot work enough to be able to pay for the car that I now have which needs to be paid each month. Is there anyway to have that paid for with maybe a seperate loan until I am done college? I pretty much need a way to pay for the car temporarily (while attending college) that won't involve me working, since I'll be attending school full time.
