is there any such thing as Bluetooth internet ?

i heard someone mention to me about connecting to the internet (either thru a phone, laptop, computer, PDA,) thru bluetooth, is that true?
or maybe i misunderstood, and it probably was connecting to the router thru bluetooth (wirelessly) and the router being connected to the modem or internet box, then to the internet?



please make me clear,
i will choose best answer!
