I know you cant hear sound in space because theres no air but can anybody give me site to go to hear ANY sound that is not produced from earth? Mars maybe? I'd love to hear a sound from mars. or a vid of mars or something. Our tax money isnt doing much for how much NASA is getting (17.8 billion dollars a year) to give us crappy pics of mars and other planets!!!!

no impossible, sound waves don;t travel through space because there is no medium for it to trvel through

Hi. Turn your car radio to a spot between two stations out in the country in winter. The static you hear comes mostly from space. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cosmic_noise

That's an interesting question; it seems you're talking about radio waves, which is a definite yes. However, you're not going to hear anything other than static if you tune in Mars. That's what you'll "hear" anyways anywhere you point the telescope, but Mars is especially mundane.

Now, as to actual sound - most people know that you can't hear anything in the vacuum of space, as sound travels in fluids. However, while sounds in space are incredibly faint, they do exist, as space isn't an actual vacuum - it contains trace amounts of stray hydrogen atoms. Such literal sounds from space may be helpful to astronomers in researching highly energetic phenomena such as the accretion disks of supermassive black holes.
