I'm trying to hold myself together and be patient, but it's hard when you're waiting for something that may never happen. I'm a transwoman seeking transition, but afraid that money will always stand in the way of that. I can't throw away my financial obligations and necessities in order to afford hormones, surgery, etc., and I can't risk ruining my credit and falling into debt and potential bankruptcy by taking out loans left and right. I'm not looking for pity, because I know that while I am in an unfortunate situation, there are many in worse, and some who never transition at all. Still, I could use any available information, as I'm ready and willing to explore all avenues that could lead me to transition. Please, any information at all would be appreciated.
Is there any sort of financial aid for SRS or hormone therapy for transexuals?
