Is there any problem with using synthetic or synthetic blend motor oils on my

If the motor has no leaks, there's no reason under the Sun you can't switch over to either type of oil. You're really ahead of the game with 5W-30 100% full synthetic Mobil1 from Walmart in a 5 quart plastic jug. Oil companies never advertise the exact percentage of synthetic oil in their "synthetic blends". Walmart also has Motorcraft oil filters which are better than anything else on the shelf.

Go for the gold right off the bat with full synthetic.

I agree with country boy except for one thing. If you have been running a heavier oil than 5w-30 then I wouldn't drop down to that. If you have been runnng 10w-40 or heavier orsomething like that for a long time I wouldn't drop to less than that. The thinner oil will reduce your oil pressure if you have been running heavier oil for a long time in the engine.
