strep throat? I am 99% certain that I have strep throat. I have all the symptoms that point to it, and they all present in about the correct order. However, a doctor isn't allowed to prescribe antibiotics without a conclusive diagnosis, which requires a throat culture. Now, I cannot stand throat cultures. They're one of my biggest medical fears. Is there any medically approved alternative to throat cultures that I could suggest to my doctor?
