Most people have seen somebody wearing a martial arts uniform ( a "gi" ) in TV, movies, photographs, or real life . I used to think all gis were white . When my friend Sam started doing judo, I saw a few people wearing blue gis . When I went to watch Sam in his judo tournament, I saw some people wearing white GSI, blue gis, and black gis . I think black gis are the coolest ! Why aren't all gis white ? Why are there blue and black gis ? Is there any meaning to the color of a gi ? Thank you in advance for your answers .
