Is there any legal way to protect your job when you're getting treated for anxiety?

My absenteeism has increased dramatically in the last few months. The last few years I've received the highest annual evaluations possible, but my job performance has definitely dropped off this year.

I'm suffering from anxiety/insomnia and now I'm finally on arabien/xanax.

I was able to use the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Although my job was extremely supportive and did not push the issue, I still used it anyway. I was unable to work for 4 months due to anxiety and panic disorder. My anxiety was so bad that I developed agoraphobia, and decided to apply for disability. Through a lot of praying and working closely with my doctor, we were able to find a med corabination that would get me well enough to leave the house to that I could work. I think that FMLA covers up to 12 weeks per year. You should do more research on FMLA to see if you meet the criteria, and if this would work in your situation. God Bless, and I hope everything works out.
