the caravan will be situated on my own land miles from any neighbours and surrounded by trees

no there isn't but where would you sight the trailer? if you choose to live off grid, the authorities would have no way of tracking you but how would you support yourself?

if you can support yourself then and you can find a pitch then your laughing since the state cant find you!

Yes you still have to have planning permission to live on site even if it is your own land. Been through the same thing myself.

if you own the land,i cant see a valid reason that would stand up in any court to disallow you?????

You would need to contact your local authority. There probably is a byelaw that forbids you doing that but it would depend upon your local authority's regulations.

No, but you'd be cold in the winter.

Any more than 2 caravan's on your land & you would need a licence.

No there isn't,its called
LIFESTYLE CHOICE.
After all look at the traveller community.
