addiction? I have been an opiate addict for close to 20 years. During this time I was unable to work. Now that I am newly sober and 40 years old, I am unable to find a job that allows me to keep a roof over my head, eat, and basically take care of myself. I am my wits end and have become quite hopeless. I have no job skills to speak of and due to the damage caused by the drugs I find I have a hard time concentrating on the simplest of tasks. I have been depending on my parents who are both retiring and will be unable to help me any further. Is there any charity or group that can provide financial aid until my brain is able to begin healing? If you know of any agency that could help me, PLEASE let me know. I would sincerely appreciate it.
