I live in michigan and am currently unemployed and today took my car in for a routine oil-change (that was free due to my warranty). They did an inspection too and found that I need to have my outer tie rods replaced and my wheels aligned but I cannot afford this. They told me not to drive the car til its fixed because they said it was very unsafe. Is there any charities or organizations that would be able to foot the bill for me? I've been looking for work and don't know how I can continue to if I can't drive my car! I don't have anyone in my life that would or could help me with this! PLEASE HELP, ANYONE!!

things like wheel alignment you can live without. your ride will just be a little bumpy but your car won't get hurt unless they are way of balance. and i would try to look into getting your tie rods replaced either by manual work or a friend or something. because it won't kill your car but over time it can get bad.

if your car is still under warranty, how old is it? A tie rod should last longer than your warranty. Who did you take it to? I took my car to Tires Plus and they took a hammer to my ball joint and then said i needed a new one when i had just replaced it. If you don't do any thing to your car, you can wear your tires out, but that is about it, unless they broke them.

find a repair shop that will let you make payments on the bill. corporate store names usually wont, but if you find a smaller place in a small town they usually will.
