...chevy engine? I just purchased a 99 Monte Carlo with 90K on it. The last car I owned was pretty much the exact same vehicle, only differences with my new one is the color and a sunroof! Anyways, my current Monte has a ticking noise, aka piston slap, but I'm not sure if there is any way to quiet it down. It doest quiet down some as it warms, but its still very noticable. Can anyone give me a solution that doesnt involve rediculous amounts of money? Replacing the lifters is out of the question. Thanks
