through college? First of all, I want to start off with stating that I live in Texas. (I know that each state has different laws and assistance) I am a single mother and I have been taking my basics at a jr. college part time. I have a full time job that by the way pays very little. After completing my basics, which will be in a year, I would like to transfer to a university and attend classes full time. I was wondering if anyone knows of any other grants or government monies that will assist me in supporting myself in addition to financial aid. Financial aid covers my educational expenses but I will need further help with other expenses such as gas and rent for example. I do plan to get a loan to help some but if there is any government assistance that I may qualify for I would like to apply for it. I am very stressed about my situation and I will be very thankful for any help and/or advise. Thank you.
