a literal genesis for some?)? So, I was doing some research on the date of Noah's Ark. Most debates around a literal Genesis are about carbon dating..(which, don't get me wrong, I trust the dating methods preferred by science) many Christians take issue with dating methods. However, it was proven that in fact the world's population never rebounded from 8 people after a global flood, it would leave Bible Literalists without any explanation. I have encountered some dates around 2300 bc. Bishop James Ussher's date of 2349 seems to be the most common i've come across...However, Answers in Genesis (one of the most prominent Creationist organizations on the U.S.) published an article placing the date at 2304 B.C. with a margin of error of 11 years.
