the zipped file to a CD? I have a massive amount of photos that I need to get off of my laptop and into more permanent storage. My compression application (7Zip) allows me to add an entire folder to an archive and automatically divides the archive up into 700MB sections, so I can burn each section separately to a CD. (This laptop does NOT have a DVD burner, just FYI). Is there any reason why this will not work if decide I need to access these photos again?
Is there any down side to zipping up a folder of photos (.jpgs) and burning
