Loss-less format? Essentially what I am looking for is an iPod with no capacity constraints.

Plan B is to get a low cost reliable netbook/ tablet PC that can load iTunes 10. But I am hoping that there is some other ready-made solution out there.
Plan C is to make a bare bones PC that can be carried around; one that has USB 2.0 and can play iTunes 10. I don't really want it to do anything else. So if you know of any kits that are out there, do let me know.
