Is there any danger to using a cell phone WITHOUT a batter cover?

My phone's battery cover snapped (it's really cheap plastic) so now the battery is out in the open. Is this dangerous at all?

The battery is tightly secured in so it won't fall out.

Do you mean is it physically dangerous? or do you mean will it ever fall out?
is will not harm any body because even if the battery somehow managed to zap you you wouldn't even feel it(the voltage isn't high enough) if you think it will fall out then i'd recommend some tape :p
