Is there any country on Earth where eating any type of meat is illegal?

Also, if there isn't, why not? It seems like every country in existence allows eating of meat, as in there is no vegetarian nation in existence. This seems to lend to the idea that eating meat is a normal part of survival, even if killing animals for it isn't exactly ideal. It's kind of loose logic, but that seems to legitimize eating meat as a natural activity. I'm not even going to bother asking about vegan countries, because that seems even less likely...
I mean a nation that is vegetarian, not that outlaws only a few meats, but *all* of them. When I say eating meat for survival, I mean like survival of the species, as in individuals eat meat and survive thus reproducing more than those who don't. Of course this isn't very important in a country where a variety of farm food is at a surplus as you can just eat the crops. Also, I realize the definition of "normal" may be open to debate for some of you, but it does appear that the majority of humans eat meat. I didn't say it was good or evil, this question is not intended to spark a debate between whether it's moral to eat meat, as much as to point out that human society as a whole, or rather its governments, don't seem to mind eating meat, and that it's probably for a reason. So what is that reason? I mean we have countries that make some really ridiculous things illegal, but never this...
