...component receiver? I have an Insignia receiver from Best Buy along with other stereo components including a Sony CD player/recorder, Teac equalizer and Pioneer speakers. I have an iPod docking station (an iHome) but would like to play my iPod via my stereo system. In other words, I'd like to hear my music through my Pioneer speakers and wonder if there is a docking station where I can listen to my iPod through my stereo system. I know there are some but you have to have that brand docking station to match that brand's receiver. Is there a universal docking station that will work with any receiver, such as my Insignia which is actually Best Buy's version of a Sony? It's a great receiver and is very compatible with my Sony CD player/recorder and Sony direct drive turntable.
Thanks for the information about Denon. However, my research on the Denon docking station leads me to believe that it is only compatible with Denon receivers.
I just found a Belkin docking station on Amazon.com that supposedly works with any stereo receiver. My receiver has connections for CD, Phono and Tape which are all being used. I also have a spare Aux connection which is not being used. I assume the Belkin docking station could be hooked up into that? One thing I read said the docking station used the phono output which would not work for me since I have a turntable I use. Still confused!
