root canal? I had a virus which turned to a bad head cold where my sinuses were infected. Then I go sharp pain in my cheek and next to my nose. I went to see the dentist as it felt like tooth pain. At first, he thought it was a sinus infection and sent me to the doctors.
But when I went back to my Dentist a few weeks later, I told him the pain was still there despite several bouts of anitbiotics. He performed a test on my tooth and determined it was dead. He then performed root canal. Despite impacting it with antibiotics for a couple of weeks, the swelling in my gum never went. He eventually sent me to a Dental Medicine person who had a scan done. She was baffled. The root canal looked fine. She then referred me to an othodontist. He couldnt work out what was wrong either and suggested I leave it in the hope it will go away. If not, he was talking about redoing the root canal.
It has now been 6 months since the pain first arrived and I still have the infection in my gums with pain radiating down to my tooth. I don't feel confident that the dental people I have seen, know what they are doing as they all sound so vague.
Has anyone tried alternative medicine practices to heal a problem like this? I was thinking of trying traditional Chinese medicine with acupuncture.
