Is there a way to turn the motorola droid phone connection off without turning 3g off? ?

I want to be able to browse the Internet and avoid talking to anyone without being interrupted and having to ignore the calls, because then when i go back to the page it refreshes and i have to start all over again while filling out forms, applications, etc.
Is there an application to only turn the phone radio off and leave 3g on?
