Is there a way to take apps from one android phone and put it on another?

I have a T-Mobile G1 and a Verizon Chocolate. Im upgrading the Chocolate to a Droid && getting rid of the G1, but there is an app that is on my G1 that i REALLY like && paid $10 for, but cannot be downloaded again because it was removed from the Android Market. Is there any way that i can take the app from the G1 && transfer it to my Droid when i get it??
