is there a way to convert an rj telephone cord to fit a single prong headset?

I have a telephone at work with a standard handset, and would like to be able to plug the telephone cable that connects the handset to the telephone into a more modern headset instead, preferrably with a 2.5mm single prong connector. Is there an adaptor on the market that takes a male rj connection into a female rj socket, and converts it to a female 2.5mm single prong socket on the other end? (Female rj to female 2.5mm)
