is there a way that I can take friends post off my news feed on facebook?

long story short but people who constantly post "I love you pooky" "I love you more my snuggle bear" I feel waste my news feed space from more interesting posts. how can I prevent the comments and posts of just one or two people from showing up on my news feeds. I don't want to delete them from my friends because I am still friends with the two and will comment on the occasional post or im, I just want to go on facebook without being spammed with their love notes to each other
