1)disconnect the battery, the system reboots.
2)get a car computer programmer. best for one that keeps the factory codes if you plan on modifying them.

take it to a shop and hook up a diagnosis machine.
and see what the code is... you can disconnect
a battery cable for a few minutes and reconnect
that will clear any codes.

Unhook the battery for 10 minutes... You can also hold the trip/odo button down... turn key to run while holding button and let the gauges do a calibration and test of lights.
