Is there a way for me to paint or color the bottom of my high heels red

(like Christian Louboutin's shoes)? I'm not about to spend $800 on real Louboutins or $100 on fakes made by tortured children in Thailand, so I figure, why don't I just attempt to paint them myself? Can I use a special kind of paint to make them red?
