Is there a type of permanent haircolor that does not contain analine derivatives

that's environment friendly? I mean all the permanent haircolor brands contain a ton of aniline derivatives that cannot be used over and over on roots, because your hair will fall out and get to a really bad & unhealthy state. Is there a natural - nature friendly haircolor that will not damage your hair if you get your hair coloured?
 
look into henna, its a natural way to dye hair (but i think only reds and browns) only thing is, you cant usually use henna then go back to normal dyes because they react with eachother, and some people may have adverse effects, though that happens with everything
