I live in Illinois and am fighting a city ordinance violation. I had my first appearance today and found the judge to be rude. I read that I have the right to one change of judge by right. But I can't find any information on how to write the motion. If I lose, the fine won't be much, so I'd prefer to not pay someone just to file a motion. I believe every citizen should have access to the courts, even those of use without much money. Local circuit clerk made it clear that she would not assist in any way. Anyone know of a template?
