In July 2001 I was arrested in Fayetteville NC for Dui (.08), I received a continuance and then had to deploy before ever going back to court. After returning from deployment, truth be told I had forgotten about the case. Now I am wondering if it were ever dropped, or if I am a wanted man in NC. I have been pulled over twice in my home state, and neither time have they said anything about a warrant for my arrest. Any lawyers familiar with NC law have any input?
Is there a statute of limitations on a failure to appear for dui in North Carolina?
