I borrowed money about five years ago and verbally agreed to pay it back, but I lost my job and I'm not disabled and collecting SSI, is there a statute of limitations for this since it's been five years? I'm trying to set up an arrangement and they already filed and won't respond, what will happen if I don't show for the court date?
