Is there a program out there to help college students who don't get financial aid?

I am 18 and I live in Kentucky. I will be in my sophomore year of college this coming fall. I do not receive financial aid and I am having a very hard time buying my books this semester. I only get 5,500 in student loans and it pays for my tuition and it almost pays for my books but then I have to worry about gas and eating the days I am at school. I get no help at all and I went in to talk to the financial aid office and they told me I had to be married or have a kid in order to get financial aid which I thought was crazy to tell a teenager that is seriously considering dropping out becuase she can't afford it. I don't drink, party, smoke, and I don't sleep with everything walking. I try really hard to mkae it in life and I even have two jobs. I need a computer for school work because my sister gets mad when I use hers and I was just wondering if there was anything out there that could help me at least buy books.
