Hollywood, Fairfax area (CA.)? I have a 1999 Honda CRV with 119,405 miles on it. The maintenance required light is on and is red.
The manual lists things to be done at 120,000.
I would like to find a mechanic I can trust to be ethical and affordable.
I bought this car 2yrs ago with 113000 miles on it.
Because I put on such little mileage on my car, the regular maintenance has been done in San Diego by the people who maintained the car for the previous owner.
I spent hours looking through a 1300+page diagnostic manual and reading every blog I could regarding other people's stories.
I just started to work with someone downtown, out of work for quite a long time, and am freaked out about the possibility of breaking down, especially when this happened in the skid row area.
After returning home safely, I have not driven it, not wishing to incur a larger problematic situation.
So, if there are any lists of the "good guys" created by people who have listed their mechanic and left feedback or something of the sort, pertaining to the mechanics they trust or know? That would be awesome!
