The Telstra Hiptop plans will no longer be available for new customers after September 30, 2009. Hiptop branded phones, however, will still be able to be used with Telstra's compatible data plans. The phone will need to be bought elsewhere, though, or purchased with a separate Mobile Repayment Option (MRO) if Telstra dealers still have product available. It is unlikely that Telstra will issue plans specific to the Hiptop model of phones, due to the models' diminishing popularity in this country.
