if a person has no memory of large portions of the past, but extremely detailed memory of a small portion of the remaining.
Like, aside from a few little swathes of recollection, I can't remember anything about my childhood from before I was maybe 12. I can't remember ever being on my high school track team even though I do know I was on it, I can't remember a dog that my family took care of for almost a year. Things like that, and it affects things as recently as just a few months ago.
But I can remember a lot of specific little things that no one should remember. Like I could recreate almost word for word a certain book report I did in middle school, or I can remember the weekly lunch menus for my old high school, or I remember the flight number and boarding time of a plane I rode almost ten years ago.
Its all just sort of weird, and I'm wondering if there's any actual condition that this describes. Thanks for any help
