Okay so my friend has a problem. He becomes easily addicted to pills, and this has happened so often that his mother no longer allows him to take any kind of medicines at all, including over the counter medicines such as tylenol, aleve, or claritin. Well as a result, my friend often becomes sick for days, and can't do anything about it. I wanted to help him, and I was wondering Is their any kind of alternative medicine out there that my friend could take which could help his infections, but not have an addictive property? Or one that if taken in a large quantity would present no serious side-effects? I was thinking along the lines of herbal medication but I don't know too much about it. Thank you for your help.
