Such as 1 cent credit balances? I'm an accounting intern working on some unapplied cash accounts and i was curious if there was a law or any regulations against putting a clause on your invoices stating that any credits of less than X amount (<$5.00 ex.) will not be refunded due to processing costs but can still be applied to future balances or other accounts by the same user. I've been working through some of my company's unapplied accounts and our current policy is to issue checks even for $0.01 balances. I feel like this is such a waste of time, resources, and is costing the company a lot of money. I asked around the office and no one was sure if there was a law stating that this had to be done or if it was a policy we could change. (the division is located in texas, corporate in arizona). Thanks
Brian
