Is there a free and simple way to create Symbian applications?

I would like to design/create my own Symbian app, and was wondering if anyone knew of any free/software which i could do this with, which is easy to use?
 
All the tools you need for application development for Symbian devices are free and can be found for example at Forum Nokia (http://www.forum.nokia.com)

As for being easy ... well, that depends on what you want to do, your experience and of course your IQ.
