I'm trying to decide whether or not to get a MAT or go some other path in order to become a high school science teacher. I will graduate in the spring with a liberal arts degree in Biology with little teaching experience. Will having a masters degree make it tougher to be hired because of the higher pay? And if so what other path would you suggest to get certified?
Is there a downside to receiving a Masters of Arts in Teaching in Secondary Education?
