Is there a difference between an Dodge neon SRT-4 and SXT catalytic converter?

I just got a stock cat back for my SXT i started by putting just the tail pipe on but it was too loud so i put the exhaust pipe on because it had two resonators but i didn't put the catalytic converter on because mine was rusted that's why i am wondering if there is a difference and would have any affect on my exhaust now.
 
yes they are different ,and not having one on it will affect the way it runs,it allows the exhaust to get out a lot faster but could have a negative affect on it as well as a positive affect,you may also notice that you,ll get a check engine light coming on because its not there,good luck.
 
Yeah it will have A more Positive affect on your exhaust because catalytic converters are very restrictive, with the removel of it you should get a better sound and even notice a gain in hp.
