Is there a compression test to do on a rad to determine if you need a water

The compression wouldnt tell you if you would need a water pump. That'd be more to check for a blown head gasket. Where is it leaking from? That'd be what I'd look for.
 
sure easy to check and see if a water pump is bad it wil leak from under it thru a hole slide under front of car look up at it cant miss it if its leaking its bad if not you have another problem type into search box

and some parts store rent radiator presure tester dont really need it... you still have aleak then your not looking at whats wet or where its coming from so most of time if its center of car in front most likey water pump which you can slide under and see with a light maybe by looking up at it
