Is there a clear history for email addresson on the iphone?

Hi - this may be an odd (and picky) question.

I went to forward an email from my iphone and noticed a few old emails in the suggestion list (you type a leter and serveral possibilities appear). How do I get rid of these emails from the suggested list - they have alredy been erased from my contacts.
