Is there a book that discusses the psychology behind food addiction?

Most of the books I am researching seem to say "don't eat this, or that"..but with me, it is more of a psychological addiction. I always want to eat. I have to keep myself busy so I am not stuck home, because I will eat all day. I have my weight under control, as I run often and follow Weight Watchers, but I need to get to the root of the problem.

I am not looking for a diet. I am looking to understand the psychology of my food addiction and how to overcome it. I buy baby carrots just so I have something that is healthy to munch on. Even when I am not hungry, I always need to be eating- ANYTHING. Please help.

check out the psychology section of the book store. at one time i know that there used to be some good books there, especially barnes and noble and the other large book store. if nothing there i would then suggest that you find a therapist that you can talk to and find out why you do this self destructive behaviour. as a matter of fact the therapist might be the better suggestion for you. people who usually indulge in this type of behaviour usually have to some degree a form of self hatred or dislike and the cause needs to be found and treated.
