Is there a book or website where I can find info about high schools in my area?

I'm home schooled and in 8th grade, but the curriculum I'm using ends after this year, and no other curriculum works for me (or is considered acceptable by my mom) so I have to start looking into high schools in my area. Is there a website or reliable book company that can give me information about the schools in my area?
